FY2012 Civista Health Foundation Annual CampaignSUPPORTING OUR PATIENTS AND THOSE WHO CARE FOR THEM
This year we entered a new chapter in our hospital’s history, one as a proud partner with the University of Maryland Medical System.
At the core of Civista Medical Center is our focus on quality and patient care. The Civista Health Foundation remains focused on its mission to enhance the hospital’s financial resources so that we may provide excellent health care services to all members of the community.
This year’s Annual Campaign will focus on supporting our patients and those who care for them. Gifts generated from special events and other generous contributions will help fund the following initiatives right here, at your community hospital:
Taking e-medicine to a higher level: A Conference Center for Medical Education will be a hub for the medical education of physicians and staff throughout our hospital. The Conference Center will house two meeting rooms with the funds raised through this campaign we intend to add tele-video conferencing capability to facilitate distance learning. The presentation of new medical information and surgical techniques will be greatly enhanced in this space designed to enhance learning opportunities for physicians, nurses and other caregivers throughout our health system. In addition, it can serve as a space for department meetings and daily physician conferences as they work to maintain a culture of high quality and safety. This is truly a turning point in Civista’s respected history of providing medical care to our community
Expanding Laboratory and Dialysis services: Renovations are underway to expand and modernize the Lab and to replace our solo units with a centralized reverse osmosis system in our Dialysis Center. Upon completion, the enhancements of these two patient care areas will improve quality and provide a safe and comfortable patient experience.
Streamlining Transportation and Improving Patient Satisfaction: Day and night, caregivers at Civista are seen transporting patients on stretchers or in wheelchairs for diagnostic or therapeutic reasons. From traditional and bariatric stretchers to traditional and special adaptive wheelchairs, frequent use requires replacement to ensure a safe transport for all of our patients. Increasing our inventory of intra-hospital transport equipment enables us to be even more prepared to help you or your loved one when you need us the most.
