Oncology

Life is different after being diagnosed with cancer. There are new challenges physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Civista Health offers a variety of programs and resources that help cancer patients and families throughout their cancer journey.

Civista’s Community Cancer Program is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. A Cancer Committee comprised of Civista physicians, surgeons, and other allied health professionals – representing various specialties involved in cancer care – monitors the overall care of the cancer patient at Civista Medical Center with the goal of ongoing quality improvement in all aspects of education, research, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Monthly cancer conferences are held as well as quarterly meetings of the Cancer Committee. In addition, there is a tumor registry at Civista Medical Center that is affiliated with the State and National Tumor Registry.
