Employee Testimonials
What Is It Like To Work At Civista?

Employees find that Civista is different than other hospitals in that the hospital is small enough to create a caring, team environment-yet large enough to offer employees challenges and opportunities.

We invite you to read what employees have to say...

Caroline Rigo, RN in Civista Medical Center’s Emergency Department.

“Being a nurse in the Emergency Room is extremely challenging and rewarding. Each day I have the opportunity to interact with a variety of people experiencing a variety of conditions from patients who have a scrape on their knee to those who cannot breath and everything in between. I also help their family members who may need encouragement, support or a shoulder to cry on. I’m there to provide all of them with the best possible care, experience, support and compassion. At the end of the day, our team of professionals in the ER and throughout Civista Medical Center, hopes we made a positive impact and a difference in the lives of those people we assisted. Being a nurse is a privilege and at times humbling. I love what I do and look forward to each day…making a difference in peoples lives.”

John Piazza, RPFT in Civista Medical Center’s Cardiopulmonary Services Department

“I began my respiratory therapy career in high school when I attended a work study program. I enrolled in respiratory therapy school and then joined the army. I continued my respiratory career in the service and then into civilian life where I now work as a registered pulmonary function technician at Civista Medical Center. I enjoy the science that goes along with respiratory therapy and I especially like working with patients. I am able to participate in all aspects of patient care and I work with patients in all areas of the hospital.”
