Civista Potomac Heritage Bicycle Tour

Routes of 14, 33, 60, 80 and 100 miles

All routes, from the casual 14-mile family ride to the challenging 100-mile century route, will take cyclists along the scenic on-road bicycle route of the Potomac Heritage Trail. Riders will leave La Plata starting at 7:00 am and pass through historic Port Tobacco and climb a short hill to a spectacular view from Chapel Point. The longer routes continue along lightly travelled back roads with rest stops throughout. The century route then heads through Amish country to Leonardtown. Cyclists will return to La Plata to the Crossing at Casey Jones, where they will enjoy an after-ride party with food and entertainment. The pre-registration fee of $30 covers rest stops along the route, SAG support, marked routes, cue sheets and maps and the after-ride party. The first 250 entrants also receive a t-shirt and souvenirs. Riders are encouraged to pre-register to be assured of getting a t-shirt and other ride souvenirs. Day-of-ride registration begins at 7:00 am and is $35
14 mile route will be a mass start at 9:45am

You will need to pre-plan by the schedules so that you can be sure that you are completed with the bicycle tour once all of the stops and SAG Wagon services are finished. The post tour party will start at 11am.
